Hi, Laura

I think that the problem is related with your image formats, I do not know which one do you use, but in my case I used .jpg format, so if you images are is different formats than .jpg, first try to convert them using ACDSee or Picasa and then you can use them in your Mosaic design.

Hi, I tried to make a mosaic, but I couldn't do it because since the beginning I couldn't create a collection, when I selected the folder where the pictures were, I couldn't select it because it seems to be empty. I don't know what to do to fix it, I hope you can help me. Thanks.

There is another way of doing this - possible with slightly different effect. I think it will work in Elements, though I've not tried it!

1. Duplicate your image to a separate layer.
2. Desaturate,
3. Duplicate the B&W image to another layer
4. Invert this new, top layer. It will go largely white.
5. Change the blending mode to Colour Dodge
6. Go to filter, Other, Minimum.
7. Altering the middle layers opacity brings more or less colour back.

Thats it!

It is an incredible bit of software. that I like very much. I have just found that the latest (beta) version of the Arles web gallery software also supports Piclens so the monthly galleries for my camera club website will be able to be viewed using it too.
